I realize it has been over a week since I have shared a blog post of inspiration, I can't even believe how it got away from me. I think I was feeling a little bit of lack of inspiration on what to write about. Nothing was truly inspiring me. As timing would have it, I had to get back to NYC for a few meetings, events and the NY NOW show. Thank God!
There is nothing like putting yourself in a different environment that truly can reinvigorate your inspiration, excite you and get you fired up about what you are meant to do. After taking a few days away, I realized just how much I'm evolving and transitioning into some new career goals and objectives. Out of me has come a totally different perspective as to how I see my future and what I want to create next.
It feels like a new fresh slate. Isn't that how the 'back to school' season is supposed to feel?
For one, I'm in a beige mood. All things beige and layered neutrals everywhere. Mixing things perfectly with elements of the earth like wood and crystals is so hot right now too. What I have noticed about neutral interiors is that there is a cozy fresh perspective. So while for Spring and Summer all white looks so good, all beige is much better for transitioning into Fall.
You don't necessarily have to commit to all beige, you can layer neutrals as you choose. Soft greys, light browns and even dusty shades of pink can be considered neutral. The point is to create a mix that looks beautiful to you.
When it comes to 'back to school' season, I get excited to believe in the possibility of what the next year will bring. This is the season for prepare for that excitement, you start freshening up your things and relaxing into the mood of what you want in your life for the future. I just love the coziness of Fall and what it brings.
