We talk about the power of a vision board around here quite a bit. In fact, I've begun to plan and host vision board parties with friends which has been exciting. I just loving having a beautifully framed mood board as a visual art piece. I'm not a huge fan of art walls, so you probably wouldn't typically find that around my home but I love the idea of a vision wall.
I've got a couple of clients who we created vision walls for. Beautifully framed photos, prints, quotes and images that inspire you and keep you focused on your vision.
This photo below. . .a make up artist who loves to be inspired by her favorite things. Displayed are all her most treasured words, paintings, make up styles, gifts from friends, a box of business cards for networking. All geared toward her dreams and vision.
I love that we put it facing her bed so she wakes up to it every morning.
For me, I am inspired to take this look to the next level. Photo ledges are killing me right now. Mixed frames in black and white on photo ledges filled with my favorite quotes, places I dream to travel, inspiration pictures of my dream home, inspiring health and mind articles, photos of furniture I want to own one day, etc. Perhaps I will take my vision board images and curate them this way? I'm loving the idea.
I think this could be such a cool look above a desk in an office, too.
To pull off this look I think the less cluttered the better. I love to arrange things in odd numbers to keep in looking polished. I enjoy varying frame colors like in black and white with all white mattes. It's up to your preference but try to keep with a theme. MINTED is a great source for easy framing and art prints with graphics. You can pick the frame and they do custom prints for you as well. You can also hit up your local thrift shop for a ton of frames on the cheap. If you don't live close to IKEA, here is a great source for photo ledges too.
