Hello, weekend! I am so happy to see you. As I was packing this morning for my flight back to NYC, it took me a second to really nail down what I wanted to pack. I realized that as much as I talk about creating a capsule wardrobe, I haven't done one for myself yet. It's so necessary when keeping an organized home. I always teach my clients, an organized closet equals an organized mind; lifestyle and business.
Because I am an interior designer and entrepreneuress, I have to be sure to always look my best no matter what I am doing. My style presentation says a lot to my clients and potential clients. I'm somewhat of a laid back dresser, I think from my many years of living in Los Angeles. I enjoy fabrics that feel good and flow and outfits that are easy to put together.
I like to stick to flowy, floral maxi dresses, these are a Spring staple for me. Pair that with fitted outwear for it to look chic and pulled together. I also like to do ripped jeans with a femme and floral top. Everything from Club Monaco is perfect this Spring.
When it comes to accessories, I prefer to ditch my black bags and shoes. I lean towards the lighter things. Right now I am obsessed with this Gucci bag.
One of my besties, Dallas, sent me a copy of her new book, The Way She Wears It. Which completely inspired me to take an in depth look at my style inspirations. I am totally taking notes and stepping up my personal style game.
When I am working with my 'paid decorator' clients, I teach them how important it is to dress for the clients you want! This weekend, I am going to be doing a little bit of shopping and prepping my closet for my Spring capsule. Perhaps, you should treat yourself, too. Remember how your personal style is a reflection of your business and your brand. In what ways can you step it up?
