Every once and a while I will come across a fashionistas home that I find incredibly inspiring. Today, I am all about Brett Heyman's Manhattan home. Black walls, purple walls and lots o' wild art. Let's take a peek, shall we? Deep purple lacquer walls in the home office? I don't know that I would have thought of doing it, but I absolutely love it.

elements of luxury...

After my sale over at 55, I've been really thinking about what luxury means when it comes to design. I guess its pretty relative to your tastes and desires. For me, luxury is all about having everything you absolutely love in your home. That can mean marble, wood flooring, brass lighting, elegant drapes, clean and bare walls. It's really up to you. My personal luxury would look a little something like these rooms. a mix of gorgeous pieces that I love, layered rich colors and high contrast colors together. Pretty and rich wall colors can be just as luxurious as white ones. Right now these looks are really inspiring me. White & black & wood. Soft blue and metallics in a living room and a deep dark gray bedroom with exotic fur.....
