During the Summer months, my love letters ( you can sign up for them here ) all cater to staying Success minded all season long. We tend to relax and enjoy the lazy days of Summer but if you take your opportunity to, you can create a super successful season and blast past most others. What I recently learned in this article in Fast Company is that the color blue is absolutely helpful for creatives.
"Blue is for creative types. Blue is calming. It promotes communication, trust, and efficiency. It also helps people with creativity by opening the mind to new ideas. In the workplace, blue would be a good color in a room that is used for brainstorming."
I can remember when I created the office space for Scout, it was a beautiful blue aqua and my dream creative space. Turns out, its the best color for someone like me. It also says that green can also be highly innovative.
"Green For Inspiring Innovation. Similar to blue, green is a calming color that promotes harmony and balance. It also can enhance creative performance. Green would be a good choice in an office where innovation is a key component"
Now, if you can't get wild and paint your office walls blue or green, why not trick your space out with some artwork featuring beautiful water. Place one above your desk and see if it inspires your creativity or enhances your innovative ideas.
I absolutely love a beach print in any space.
There is a HUGE trend in the lifestyle blogger world and that's the Gray Malin beach prints, they are everywhere. What's interesting is that they fill the space of the highly creative girl bosses. So, we know this all must be true and these gals are taking the hint. Take a look at a few of my favorites. . .
