I have always been a big fan of anything to do with healing the home, Feng Shui, etc. I believe so much that your home is your foundation and sacred space for designing your life. The other day I was given a book to read called, Discovering your Soul Mission, How to use karmic astrology to create the life you want. It was truly fascinating.
I've always loved to know how to decorate for your sign and season and have had my birth chart read too. I've been clued in to who I am deep down based on my planetary star map.
However, it wasn't until I read this book that I discovered my North Node/South Node sign, which tells you what your soul mission/purpose is in this life. It's all based on the star influence.
Well, my soul purpose, just happens to be a Leo. I am a Capricorn in personality but my soul wants to express itself in a Leo way. Which is interesting because I have always just felt like my spirit animal was the lion. (In the photo above, this art print with a woman walking a lion, I must have this. If anyone knows who's house this is or where I can find, please help a girl out)
Anyway, this may interest you or not but for me, it almost felt like it resonated with my gut. I have always been in love with lions. (I even thought of Leo as one of the possible names for my baby boy) It just feels right.
So, as to enhance the qualities of my soul mission, it says to decorate with things and symbols that bring out the lioness in me. Read what it says about my Leo North Node here and if you want to find your north node, you can just look up your natal chart. It's so fun to learn these things.
Interesting how my book cover has a lion knocker, no?
The Importance of Knowing Your North Node and How to Decorate Your Home to Support It
Astrology offers a profound lens through which we can explore our life’s purpose, challenges, and potential. Among the many aspects of your natal chart, the North Node stands out as a guiding star for personal growth. It symbolizes the qualities and experiences your soul aims to embrace in this lifetime.
By aligning your home environment with your North Node’s energy, you can create a supportive space that nurtures your journey toward self-discovery and fulfillment.
What is the North Node?
The North Node, also called the "Node of Destiny," is not a celestial body but a mathematical point in your birth chart. It represents the direction in which your soul is meant to grow. Think of it as your cosmic compass, pointing toward new habits, mindsets, and opportunities that align with your life’s purpose.
Each North Node is paired with a South Node, which reflects traits and patterns you’ve mastered in past lives or early life. While the South Node feels familiar and comfortable, the North Node challenges you to step out of your comfort zone. For example:
A Taurus North Node might focus on creating stability and abundance, stepping away from the chaos associated with a Scorpio South Node.
A Leo North Node encourages stepping into the spotlight and embracing creative self-expression, contrasting the group-focused energy of an Aquarius South Node.
Why Decorate to Support Your North Node?
Your environment has a profound impact on your mindset and energy. By intentionally decorating your home to align with your North Node, you invite its qualities into your daily life. A home that reflects your growth goals becomes a powerful tool for manifestation and alignment. It acts as a physical representation of the energy you’re working to embody, creating harmony between your external space and internal aspirations.
Decorating Tips for Each North Node Sign
Here’s how to bring your North Node energy into your home:
