Please excuse my lack of blogging this week. We've had a LOT going on in our family, including a sudden passing away of a loved one. It's never easy and never fun but as hard as it is, I always try to find the silver lining during times like this. You realize how absolutely short and precious life is and you just get the sense of focus on not taking anything for granted.
I've also noticed the feeling of heaviness. which makes me realize how much extra stuff I have. So, I have decided to purge out my closet. . .again. I try to make sure and do this every season but I just seem to want to do it now more than ever. I just have that feeling like I want to get rid of everything I own and start fresh. It's an exciting time because Fall is around the corner and I think I am ready to rebuild my wardrobe. P.S. The #Nsale is only for 3 more days, so be sure to get over there and stock up on what you need ASAP!
If you haven't read Marie Kondo's book 'The life-changing magic of tidying up', I highly suggest you do. It will inherently inspire you to get your life in order, especially starting with your closet. She has got a fantastic method to the tidying up madness and I'll share a little bit of a cheat sheet guide from the takeaways. . .
I am going to go through this process over the weekend and really clean out all of the energy in my closet. In Feng Shui, there are many beliefs that when you make room for more, more will come! So, I am beyond excited to really take this seriously and if you are feeling like you need a change in energy in your life, why not join along with me?
The best part is that when you get your wardrobe down to a smaller size, your closet can look a little more like this. . .read my post about closet organizing.
Now here is a little vision for what I want to add into my newly cleared out wardrobe. . .
