After being on vacation for a solid 2 weeks and spending ample time relaxing by the beach, I've learned just how incredible it is to connect to mother earth. A deep connection with nature does something to you that I don't think anything else can do and while I do try to get outside as much as possible, something really happens when you connect deeply on a daily basis. You get a jolt of aliveness and have clarity for fresh inspiration.
It got me to thinking about how this year is all about leafy green. Because we are all craving more of that connection right now in the world. So how can we incorporate that beautiful shade of emerald green without buying all new furniture, painting walls, etc. Yesterday, I had a photo shoot of my apartment at the house and noticed that when I brought the stems and leaves from my flowers to each little vignette. It added something to that image.
If you have taken the workshop then you know I am all about nurturing your home + sanctuary with moments of natures green in every thing you do. When drinking water, add cucumber and mint. When taking a bath, bring some greenery with you, even if just one rose stem in a mason jar. When taking a photo for Instagram, add the leaves from your yard just for a hint of green. I've put together some images you show you what is inspiring me this month. . .
If you have ever shopped at Costco and purchased the jar of pre made pesto, then you will know my addiction. I will put this pesto on pretty much anything and it is absolutely delicious. I'm looking forward to trying this yummy recipe.
This is a little excerpt from a book I've been reading, 'Making Space: Creating a home meditation practice' .
I love Oprah + Gabby Bernstein and this was a beautifully inspiring Super Soul Session talk.
