Oh how I love a good wall color. Farrow + Ball is one of my favorite paint companies. Not only is the paint is 100 per cent water-based range, the new collection will be low odor, eco-friendly, safe and easy to use and available in a range of finishes. It’s also incredibly easy to paint with. I have painted rooms myself in F+B and it goes on the wall so beautifully.
Since they don’t put out new colors very often, I am always eager to see what they come up with. This year, not so many grays but more beautiful muted colors. My favorites are on trend with a soft pink and deep olive green.
BANCHA 298: This mid-century modern green is named after Japanese tea leaves, it provides a feeling of security.
Now for non-color, colors, I love the following off shade of white, its just so gorgeous. It sort of reminds me of a vintage white, which is much more calming and cozy than some of the bright white we see lately in the more modern spaces. I love the feeling of nostalgia.
SCHOOL HOUSE WHITE 291: The lightest in the group, this soft white is reminiscent of the color used in school houses.
We all know how much I love my black walls. This one is absolutely gorgeous, black without leaning towards dark grey or navy like some can be. This is a soft, simple and beautiful classic black.
PAEAN BLACK 294: This Georgian inspired red based black is a nod to the color of old leather hymnals which so often included a song of praise or paean.
