It's been so much fun to talk design lately. Every conversation I have with another interior designer whether they are from Texas, Seattle, NYC, Atlanta, we are all really feeling the same aesthetic content. While our flair may be a little different, depending on our location, the overall theme is very similar.
Being that today is Monday and I am always most motivated on this day of the week, I want to share what I am really finding is looking so chic and a current theme in my client presentations.
WHITE WALLS with BLACK ACCENTS
I just absolutely love this look. Although my walls are black in my space, I do find that white is so refreshing and happy in most homes. Black accents keep the look sophisticated, glamorous and tailored looking so it doesn't get too soft. It just adds a more modern element to the look.

I'm especially loving all black finishes. Windows, door frames, door hardware, etc. All things a nice matte black for the win.

Take for example this sweet bohemian glam living room. The black frame, coffee table, pillows and rug pull it together in such a modern way.
BLACK ACCENT WALLS
I slathered all walls in my living room black but I find that even just one black accent wall looks so glam too. I especially urge my clients to do the TV wall because its a fabulous way to hide the unfortunate look of the television, it almost just disappears. A black wall adds an element of interest and if your walls are white, its a really nice break.
Here is a little vignette I designed for a client with a black accent wall. You can really decorate in any style when using a black wall. Classic, glamorous, traditional, bohemian, luxurious. It all works.
BLACK & WHITE ART WALLS with BLACK FRAMES
I'm totally into the geometric planned art wall with black and white photography. Photography has always been an art form that resonates with me for the home, so I really am enjoying this look right now.
Of course it looks fabulous with white walls and I also love the black framed art wall on dark walls too.

ACCENT WALLS with MARBLE MURALS + WALLPAPER
I don't know what else to say about this look but I am totally into it right now. The white carerra marble look is so chic and I love seeing it on the wall.

CRYSTALS + STONE ACCENTS
Right now my most favorite lighting is in the form of crystals and natural stones. I just think it adds a spiritual yet luxurious element to a home.
Even in smaller home elements like hardware, crystals are just so magical. See more of my favorites here.
CONTEMPORARY CIRCLE MIRRORS
These oversized, super basic circle mirrors are just all the rage right now. They add a nice geometric shape to a vignette so I think they can pull any look together. The more basic and bigger, the better.

NATURAL WOOD BOOKCASES
The other day while out shopping, I spotted this curved light wood bookcase and my heart melted. This is exactly what I have been looking for my newest project designs. Now I want them everywhere. The light wood looks great with black and adds an earth element to the home. I think thats also very hot right now.
These are just a few things that are in my designer brain right now. Do you have anything you are loving for 2017 decor style? Let me know what you are loving in the comments below.
