Yesterday I discussed some ideas for decorating your console table. See the post here. I've been thinking about how I wanted to decorate my entryway since even before I moved in. I knew I had this coffee table from my last apartment entryway and I absolutely loved it. I covered it with some sticky wallpaper but I wanted to give it a fresh makeover for Villa Noir.

Ikea makes the best pieces to recover and makeover so naturally I was excited to think about what to do. This was how I had things up when I first moved in to my space. As a decorista, I will be redecorating, refinishing and moving things around weekly until its perfect. It's just how I live and breathe. I stumbled across this IKEA hack in white croc fabric and after debating over whether to go black or white, I went with black. It's hard to see the dimension in pictures but in person its so so luxe!

At first I contemplated the idea of fabric versus paper. How durable would the fabric be and would it be loose or very tight and stuck to the piece? I found this amazing black faux croc fabric for about 11$ a yard and ordered 2 yards to cover this table. If its awful, I didn't break the bank. I decided to go with Adhesive spray to glue it to the table, it just makes for a smooth and tight finish. It probably took me about 25 minutes to get it done right. I just glued the fabric on and cut off the edges. It was pretty easy actually.
. . .and it actually turned out pretty amazing.

At first I had my Andy Warhol print but the color just wasn't working for me. I switched it out for my black and white with gold frame piece for now. It literally is the sexiest little entryway ever. I will be rearranging the tabletop this weekend and also will be hunting for a pair of fabulous little poufs that sit underneath. Or maybe even cool baskets for a bit of extra storage.
