In the workshop, we have been discussing how important it is to get rid of things in your home that you don't LOVE. Many of us just put up with things in our home because they serve a certain purpose even though we don't just absolutely adore it. I'm still trying to figure out why we do that. Why do we settle for 'just good enough' in our lives when we deserve an abundant life of so much more?
I'm always editing my home. Partly because I am decor ADD but also because as I grow in life, I become attracted to things at a different level and vibration.
Lately, I just felt I wanted to give some extra love to my bedroom. I stumbled across this beautiful gold ornate tray with antique mirror and although I already had a beautiful tray that held my perfumes, this one just seemed much more of who I am today. A little extra detail made all the difference in the world for me. It reminded me of a crown and I just love that royal vibe.
I have also been really wanting to add more plants in my home. Read why plants are great Feng Shui here. I knew my bedroom needed some new life so I decided to go get some palms for either side of my bed because there was just about 3 feet of extra space on either side.
I wanted fullness, lushness and the color green because its balancing. March is National Color Therapy month by the way. In my book, Blissful Living, I explain each color and what it means when you are attracted to it. You can absolutely use colors in your home as a form of therapy. Art too.
Here are the pretty cat palms I decided to bring home.
Here's how they look in my bedroom. I also went by Anthropologie the other day and spotted this boho pillow. It called out to me. I wasn't really sure about it because it seemed a little too boho for my bedroom look. For two days, I couldn't stop thinking about the pillow. THAT'S when you know you must allow yourself to have something. When your gut tells you. Trust your intuition when it comes to your home decor. Break the rules, who cares?!
I also found this awesome hook for my entryway. I needed a place to hang sweaters and purses. This one was perfect and looks so fab on my black walls too.
