As quickly as October arrived, the holidays are sure to be here very soon. In order to ensure that our homes are ready for guests & a little or a lot of entertaining, now is the time to get prepared. I am sure that we all have a lot of commitments, both business and personal: working with clients, managing our family, spending time with friends & loved ones, and all the while getting ourselves to the gym and eating at least somewhat healthily.
It may seem like a lot, but I believe we all absolutely have what it takes to be living our best, feeling out best, looking our best and living blissfully. Which is why I created my Blissful Living workshops, you can grab the 30 day clearing workshop here .
As wonderful as my life is, one thing I’m humbled by is knowing that to have continuous success, we can’t just rest on our laurels and do the same thing year after year, hoping for better or different results. These workshops are designed to support you with the guidance to step out of your comfort zone, change up your energy and design your home and life with intention, so that you can experience the up-level in life that you desire.
Once you have given enough to yourself and your life, you can be filled up and ready to be a brilliant hostess and pour love out to those near and dear to you. Did you know that Libra season is all about entertaining? That's the best part of Fall, after all, creating memories through entertaining, no?
1. UPDATE YOUR DINING ROOM
Prepare to welcome your guests with an updated dining room. Perhaps you need to refresh your dining chairs for optimal comfort. I adore these French Louis style chairs. Or maybe you just need to add a dimmer to your dining room light so that you can easily create a warm mood. Fresh flowers in a vase will always be a beautiful centerpiece alongside a few tapered candles. I like to keep it pretty bare though too, just in case games come out like my favorite, Cards Against Humanity.
2. CREATE A COCKTAIL STATION
It doesn't just have to be cocktails but you want to set up a little drink station in your living area so guests can enjoy making their own drinks. I, for one, prefer to make my own drinks, even water because I love adding limes and lemons to my sparkling water. I'm just particular. So I fully enjoy creating a beautiful set up to allow guests to make their own coffee or cocktail.
3. CURATE A CONVERSATION NOOK
It's always important to set the stage for in depth conversations over wine or tea. Sure, you can hang in the kitchen but I find that when there are intentional nooks that are inviting, guests are more likely to get cozy there and begin to gab. If you are looking for a gorgeous pair of chairs, I'm loving these.
4. PREPARE THE POWDER ROOM
You always want to make sure there are enough hand towels, beautiful soaps and a divine smelling candle like this one , it's the best Fall scent. Fresh flowers, pretty pictures in frames, anything that adds some detail for your guests to enjoy. I promise it will make for a memorable experience.
