Being a work from home entrepreneur certainly is not for the faint of heart, it requires quite the commitment. Not only do I constantly need to come up with content for the blog, I am always on the hunt for interior design inspiration for my clients.
Luckily, I have come to a point in my career where I can select which projects I really want to work on. However, I didn't start out that way. I used to take on any and all design projects just to get my feet wet. I would immerse myself in my industry to learn as much as I could. I was on a mission to be the best!
While I still am far from reaching all of my goals, I have learned one thing that has truly helped me stay sane while ferociously charging toward my entrepreneurial passions and desires. The day I made the decision to stop flying by the seat of my pants and commit to a routine and schedule completely changed the game for me.
I learned that my calendar, my schedule, was a structure that I needed to support me in staying on track. We can get lost in things like Pinterest, Instagram, etc. It takes away from going towards the vision of our lives that we truly desire. Now that I stick to and create my calendar with purpose, I am supported in being the best business woman I can be.
In addition to that, I have centered myself with a strong but simple morning routine that helps me stay committed. I work from home, so having a beautiful morning routine that I enjoy makes my work so enjoyable. I have put this habit into practice so much so that I feel off when I don't have it. My morning routine serves me so that I can bring the best of myself to my work. I take time for my self care, mentally, spiritually, I make time for my fitness and health. These are all very strong components of the life that I desire to lead.
I like to have framed quotes and inspiring words that keep my heart lit up. I make sure I have fresh roses in my house every week. I enjoy my tea and coffee in glamorous mugs. I have my favorite music playlists going at all times to keep my energy enjoyable.
