Right now, I am working on a fun project in Austin. We just spent hours picking out the perfect paint colors for the home, I really do enjoy picking out paint colors and color palates. It just gets me so excited. While I am letting the painters do their job, I am making some art selections.
Currently, I'm vibing on the whole no-mat look. It's so unique and just a little bit more powerful than a photo with the matting. Especially on these dark prints in values on black and grey, the black frame looks so glam. It looks fantastic in neutrals colors too.
When I came across this photo, I knew instantly that a horse photo is necessary in this home. The style is an eclectic mix of things and there is something really sophisticated and beautiful about horses, the artwork can work in almost any style. While I love city girl high heels and trendy beach scenery, horses just have a mysterious flair about them. I found a few horse pieces on Minted.com that I really like. Blow these up to an oversized size and you'll have a beautiful piece for any room. . .
Aside from art there are a few things I've had my eyes on. . .
This gorgeous mirrored desk that I am dying to find. Look at all the detail, it must be vintage.
This insanely cool marble chair.
The DVF python rug from The Rug Company.
