There is something about this living room that is so perfectly masculine yet feminine. I love the slate grey color on the walls, and the bold pops of color that just come alive against the backdrop. Black makes the perfect splash in this space, with the table accents, dining room arrangement and even in the lighting. Which, I just adore how the wall sconce, doubles as a swinging light fixture for the dining room and the living room. Such a clever idea.
I'm constantly using my dining space as a work area. I love the size of open space it provides. I'm able to lay out all of my inspirations and concept ideas, fabric, etc. I'm loving the idea of a long black table in my next home, inspired by the one above. Black sort of hides all the imperfections and I like that. I also love a bold Southwestern style rug, like this one in red, to pop off the space perfectly. I'm typically not a red girl but I truly do love it against the slate grey + black.
I also love the leaning art in this space, with open glass filled black frames. It gives such a structured and artistic vibe. Pile on a few pillows and brightly colored accents and you turn this muted space into magic.
The square tiles and black grout in the kitchen is so on trend and I really love the way it looks here. Bold and graphic just like fashion.
When you exit the kitchen you are led to a hallway with incredible black and white flooring which looks so grand. While mirrors play the perfect role in making a small hallway just come alive!
Side note: always add some variation of a disco ball. It's so chic.
add some modern accents...
Isn't she lovely?
