The secret to a show stopping nursery. . .

For the first time in a very long time I actually got a full night sleep last night. This morning I am waking up so refreshed and ready to tackle the day. At this point in the pregnancy, I never thought that would happen. A girlfriend of mine told me about hypno birthing meditations for sleeping. To my complete surprise, it actually worked! You have got to give them a look on YouTube.

Anyway, I have also been told that for the first few months of baby, he will probably sleeping in the bassinet next to my bed. So I still haven't really put a full nursery together for my baby. I am still deciding on what room, how will things fit, etc. I have a little corner in a guest bedroom for his changing table and things but I haven't really done any big decorating yet. Then I came across this amazing resource, Urban Walls.

Hello temporary wallpaper and removable decals! The perfect thing for a temporary nursery. Now, I am obsessed and can't decide which one I want! The decals are just perfect for any nursery, to give a little enhancement without having to makeover the entire space.

I find that so many people out there hesitate to do anything permanent with their walls when they are renting. Sometimes landlords won't even allow you to paint, which is a total bummer. I think this watercolor wallpaper is gorgeous. Having removable wallpaper takes the anxiety out of making a bold statement on the walls. I fully support this move!

Why you should absolutely unleash your Ista & decorate how you want

If you have read anything about me and my story, then you know that my success has been a long, long journey for me. A young twenty something gal living in Germany, and she has such a fun, glamorous and wild decorating style. 

Why I love her...She decorates for her. She doesn't follow any rules. You can tell she just surrounds herself with beautiful things that she absolutely loves. When you do this, things go together, things look good and pretty. It's because it's showing through that she is aligned with her sense of style and who she is. Nothing fancy, nothing formal, just absolutely fun!

3 BASIC RULES FOR DECORATING HOW YOU WANT:

1. Choose ONLY things you love. Listen, there are definitely guidelines when designing or decorating a home but there aren't any real rules. Your home should make you happy and be a living curation of what you love. 

2. Maximalism vs. Minimalism. Either way, you're golden. You can make both look fabulous if you keep your home organized and clean. If you are going for that gypsy glam, try to stick with a strong color palette to keep things looking chic. I love how this home has a ton of silver and grey so it looks pretty without feeling too overwhelming. 

3. Be a clean machine. Having a dust free and clean home just might be more important than what is actually in your home. If it is difficult for you to keep it clean on your own, upgrade your lifestyle and hire a maid. They really are a god-send. I promise you that if you are living in alignment and have fully unleashed your Ista, then you won't say to yourself "I can't afford a maid.", you know that you can manifest anything you want and a maid is something you deserve because it's living in your truth, you don't want to clean. 

4. People pleasing is a 'no-no'! As much as we love the feedback of others or to get their approval, that is NOT allowed at home. Decorate for you. Shop for you. Choose things that you, your family and your home will love! This can be difficult when we don't live alone and have others in our home who have their own particular likes too. Take those into consideration. Allow them to have the things that they love too, even if they aren't so glamorous. Kids toys? Get bins or baskets that you LOVE to store them in. Husband's ugly sports memorabilia? Find a way to make it chic, frame it in a cool frame, place collections on a glam bookcase, etc. You can think outside the box and make it your own.
