I'm currently in Houston working on a beautiful, brand new town home and literally nothing makes me happier. I love starting with a clean state, it makes designing fun and easy. My client bought a big round tufted ottoman for the living room but it doesn't really go with the design we are looking to do. So, she asked me "what do I do with this big tufted ottoman?". She asked if she should get rid of it and I yelped "No!". There are so many amazing uses for a beautiful tufted ottoman in the home, here are a few. . .
If your furnishings are more neutral, a tufted ottoman could add a dash of unexpected color.
A pair of cubed ones could make for fabulous extra seating in a hallway.
It looks so fabulous and chic underneath glass.
A tufted ottoman could be so perfect in a large walk in closet as a place to sit and put on shoes.
Two do the same thing in the closet and look really fab. One of my favorites, The Design Co. , uses tufted ottomans in all kinds of ways. . .like underneath this fab console. It fills in space and could be great storage if you get one that has an opening.
It makes a perfect and glam seat at a vanity.
A modern room gets a softer feel with a fabric tufted ottoman.
