It's been a ridiculously crazy weekend for me. I've taken a project in Dallas and decided to move my things to be closer to my clients and some of my family (including my favorite grandmother). Over the weekend, I hired a fraudulent moving company who stole more than half of my things. I of course, am completely heart broken. One, for being so naive and trusting and two, because I have precious family heirlooms that went out the window and I'll never be able to get them back or replace them. Ugh. I'm moving on and trying to get excited about decorating a new space and getting creative in my clients' spaces. Which has led me to revisit some of my favorite patterns in design. Everything has gone so marble and graphic, but I'm starting to yearn for the traditional again. Scalamandre Zebra wallpaper being one of those good ole things. I love this wallpaper in almost every color and I just love what personality it gives to the space its put in.
There are so many things you can do with wallpaper, its excited to see creative ways that the wallpaper has been used. I love the whimsical feeling that this red dresser gives. How fun would that be to have in a room? Maybe a little too much for an everyday but its very sweet. I think you've got to have a fun personality to rock this paper. You know, the type that doesn't take themselves to seriously.
I really want to use this paper in my new space. What do you guys think? Fun or a little too dramatic? Is there a way to make it fresh and inviting?! Would love feedback.
