Looking for a new bath ritual? This post is for you.
This is going to be a pretty big week for me. For a few reasons. The first reason is that Valentine’s Day was my grandparents anniversary. Which ended up being a big holiday for our family. It was the love that started us so we always made it a big deal and this is the first year they aren’t with us anymore. So bittersweet.
But this is also the week that I am launching my passion project, Blissful Living Ritual Candles. When I was a little girl, my grandmother used to take us to Mass on Sundays and lighting the prayer candles was something we always loved doing together. It was a moment of mindfulness that always somehow felt very powerful. She would teach us to say a prayer for someone or something and to light the candle to honor it. Ever since then I have always incorporated lighting candles into my prayers and rituals. They bring meaning to all of the small moments.
This Valentines Day, in honor of my grandmother, I will be launching the collection of ritual candles over on my new shop site, loveashina.com . On the site, I will be curating a shop of charming things for the home that go with the Blissful Living theme. Lifestyle goods for the spiritual glamourist.
Candles are a large part of rituals. For Valentine’s Day, I wanted to share with you one of the rituals from the book, so that you too can draw love to you on this sweet love holiday….
Now before I get into the specifics of the Love Bath Ritual, I would like to share a little bit about how I do baths.
First of all, I love a robe, I especially love my kimono robes. Here I am wearing my aqua vintage kimono that always makes me feel so luxurious when I wear it. Not too heavy, not too light. Plus, its a pretty pattern so you can’t spot the baby spit up, which is so helpful. I like to light my candles and set up the accoutrements along the sides, as I run the bath. Indulge in the experience of decorating your bath scene. Plants and flowers make pretty additions too. I also love a good bath caddy, I need a new one and have my eyes on this one because its bamboo.
BLISSFUL LIVING LOVE BATH RITUAL:
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Blissful Living Ritual Candle (any candle will do but a nice tall white candle would be best)
Rose or Jasmine incense, I like how easy this one burns.
Rose essential oil
Rose petals
Pink Himalayan bath salts
Rose quartz crystal
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Clear an evening for a self pampering ritual to draw in love to you. Prepare your bathroom with fluffy towels, something to sip on, soft background music and anything you love to bathe with.
Draw a warm bath and pour in pink Himalayan bath salts. Add 9 drops of rose essential oil and 27 rose petals to the bath, Place your rose quartz crystal in the tub.
Light your bubble bath Ritual candle & light your incense. Say the following prayer to your higher self as you immerse yourself into the bath water.
“May my heart be open and my intentions clear. I seek a love to enhance my life, to bring love, joy, prosperity, peace and bliss to my life. Who I can fully love and who can fully love me. Who loves, honors and cherishes our connection. May I let love in. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”
