I'm not really that much of a food blogger because well, I'm just not. The other night at dinner with my girlfriends, we were having a conversation about wanting to host a party at home. I realized how many girls hate to cook and feel like they really don't know how but they feel bad because they feel like they "should" be cooking. I come from such a big family that I can't ever remember not knowing how to cook. In my family its just what we do. We have our best memories when we are all in the kitchen together making food and making memories. I promised my girlfriends I would go to each of their homes and teach them how to prepare a meal, so they can feel like fabulous hostesses and more confident in the kitchen. Feeling confident in the kitchen is one of the many ways you can easily achieve domestic bliss.
If you feel anything like my girlfriends, I encourage you to try your hand at cooking in the kitchen and setting a beautiful table to go along with it. You really can't go wrong with a good recipe and an open mind. Here are a few easy recipes that I am inspired to cook right now. . .
How fabulous do these butter scallops look atop risotto? Oh my goodness, my mouth is watering as I just look at this meal. I would pair something like this with a nice crisp Sauvingnon Blanc for a beautiful Friday night in.
In the spring and summer, I am obsessed with making power bowls. Throwing a ton of fresh and healthy ingredients into a big bowl and mixing it all together. It must be the Hungarian side of me. I love pretty much anything and everything with avocado. This Vegan buddha bowl is the perfect treat for a light Saturday afternoon snack. I'd drink this with some kombucha and sit al fresco.
For an easy Sunday brunch at home, I always lean towards some sort of poached egg dish. This avocado toast with poached egg looks absolutely delicious and light. Why not have a mimosa or two to go right along with it?
