Who doesn't love a Diptyque candle? Not only do they smell fantastic, they make the most beautiful decor.
My first trimester of pregnancy was so difficult, especially when it came to smells. Smelling anything and everything gave me a headache. I couldn't wear most perfumes or stand them. Naturally, it broke my heart that I couldn't burn candles but when I walked by a Diptyque shop and it didn't kill me. When I got home, I decided to try to burn my tuberose candle and it was the ONLY thing I enjoyed smelling for 3 months. Besides my essential oils. Every other candle made me sick.
So, I decided to stock up on my favorite scents because I can burn them while pregnant and not feel like dying. I've always had a love for candles from Voluspa, TJ Maxx and Anthropologie but for some reason, they just wouldn't work for me. I also came to realize, the burn time with Diptyque and the way it smells up the room is far superior to other candles I've burned.
My conclusion: These candles are absolutely worth the splurge.
If you haven't treated yourself to one, I highly suggest you do. I've also always used candles as a time to set intentions or speak gratitude for my day. ( I learned this from a mentor ) Using candles as a marker of an intention to be grateful, blissful and engaged in the beauty of life. Each time you light one, say a positive mantra or thought. It makes the whole experience blissful and brings a good energy to the burn.
My favorite Diptyque smells:
Tubereuse: This one makes me so happy, the smell is perfectly floral and feminine.
Oud: This one is my favorite mixer, I like to burn it with the other candles. It's dark, exotic and smells like a sexy man to me. I burned this at my Blissful Living book signing and everyone raved over it.
Feu de Bois: perfect for the Winter, smells like a wood burning fire. This is pleasant for everyone.
Figuier: The perfect fig tree, its just a beautiful smell.
Baies: The most popular one, made famous by Carrie Bradshaw. It smells like berries and bliss.
My favorite mixers: meaning I like to burn them along with other scents more than I like them on their own are Roses, Ambre, Vanille.
As I write this very blog post, I am burning my black Baies candle ( photo below )
If you aren't sure which one you want, a gift set is a great way to try them out.
My little tubereuse candle looks so beautiful in my bedroom nook. Even the small ones burn very fragrantly, they pack a perfect punch.
I'm always saving images with Diptyque candles because they really do make for beautiful and simple decor. I also love how you can re use them as storage containers and flower vases.
