I often talk about the importance of a personal space in the home. Watching my grandmother at her vanity was always such a fascinating thing for me as a little girl. Ever since then, I have been in love with vanities. It's one of the first priorities for me when I began planning the design of my own space. It's the place where I get ready for my day, pretty up with flowers and play with my perfumes and jewelry. It's so much fun being a girl.
I knew my mirrored desk was going to go well in this corner, along with this super large antique mirror. Mirror on mirror completely opens up the space. The only chair I currently have available for my vanity is my beautiful ghost chair, lord knows I love me some clear furniture. However, it's not necessarily the most comfortable. So, I've been looking for the perfect pillow to go with it.

It's the perfect fit for a ghost chair, no? Especially now that the weather is getting chilly, I want everything in my home to be a little bit softer. My vanity is in my bedroom and the walls are dark Grizzle Gray by Sherwin Williams so they make the perfect backdrop for glamour. I have even been thinking of upgrading my bedroom linens to something a little more luxe. I am contemplating this gorgeous gray quilt because it has a beautiful sheen to it that would lend itself perfectly to my vanity area. What do you think?
My mirror is gold and I love it, but something tell me I should have it redone in silver leaf to really highlight the vanity space. I just love the mix of gray and gold so much, makes it a tough decision for me.
