If you are on my love letter list, you learned a couple of little secrets in yesterdays love letter. I always try to open up about what I experience on a very personal basis. After reading a couple of posts and private messages from the Blissful Living facebook group, I noticed that what you all are really craving is a sort of home sanctuary, a place where you can really unwind, get centered and clear your mind.
I love to share inspiring sacred spaces so that you can create your own at home. For me, I feel part of me is very glamorous yet there is a spiritual side of me that loves some of these more bohemian looks. I'm all about a mix of both; spaces that reflect a spiritual, bohemian vibe yet still elegant and glamorous. I've realized that it doesn't have to be one or the other.
I have found that crystals have been such a fun way for me to incorporate that energy into my home and increase the spiritual vibe. I decided to share my favorite looks with Amethyst because I feel like it is the starter crystal. They are easy to find and I have seen them in some of the most beautifully designed spaces.
I read a little excerpt on Amethyst crystals on Vogue. com saying that 'crystals are the new Feng Shui.
Characteristics: The quartz family’s varied violet or purple colored precious stone is most commonly recognized by its bewitching blend of smooth prism formations and piercing edges within a raw and earthy rock exterior.
Origin: From the Greek a-methystos, meaning “not drunken.”
Benefits: “Not drunken” is a fitting name—the amethyst is said to promote clarity of mind, calmness, patience, and balance.
You Might Not Know: That amethyst is also said to influence one’s dream cycle, so much so that lucid dreaming is not uncommon. For heightened and enriched REM results, try finding a home for your healing stone somewhere within your sleeping quarters.
Here is the down-lo for decorating with amethyst at home:
These crystals work to purify any space of negative vibrations, emanating an energy ideal for you to thrive in. They help to clear the mind of unnecessary thoughts and clutter. On a physical level, having amethyst crystals in your home is believed to help strengthen the immune system and heal any imbalances that lie in the body.
Amethyst clusters and Amethyst geodes carry the strongest power to rid your home of negative energy, making them the best ones to fill your home with. These crystals can be placed on your fireplace or your altar—somewhere central in your house, so that the amethyst healing properties can radiate to every room. They also make wonderful additions to a child’s room because of their gentle and soothing energy. Amethyst crystals are even thought to help people who have trouble falling asleep. Placing an Amethyst cluster in your business is thought to attract abundance and bring new opportunities walking through the door.

A little secret, rumor has it that when you place crystals in your plants, they stay healthy and growing.
