So, I really thought I was over bar carts there for a while. I found myself always looking to create bar areas in unique places like side tables and dressers. You can just get so sick of seeing the same things everywhere, you know? That was until I spotted this chic little number on @blackrooster instagram. (see pic above) I am sort of in love with everything that girl does. So, I am all about a black and gold bar cart look to glam up Summertime afternoon entertaining. Nothing like Happy Hour at home, am I right?
Gold bar carts are all the rage. I absolutely love it when I can find a fantastic vintage one for my clients. Typically they are more affordable than the high end new ones. This one from Chairish is absolutely perfect. I also am loving this round one from Nordstrom. P.S. EVERYTHING is on mega sale right now so read my shoppers guide to the #Nsale.
For fabulous entertaining equipment: You'll need to get yourself an ice bucket like this chic black and gold one. It just looks so chic when you have a get together and you actually use it. Of course I also really love the large gold champagne buckets which are great for having a couple of bottles on ice. This decanter and set of glasses is perfect for displaying on a bar cart. You can drink wine, liquor or even mix some fancy sangria and they will look chic in those glasses. I think matches from restaurants are my favorite, I absolutely love to collect them from my travels. For actually lighting candles, I love to display matches with cool boxes on my bar cart. This set of marble matches is right up my alley. I've also been obsessed with this gold pineapple shaker forever. Pineapples are so IN right now and they are said to attract good fortune in Feng Shui, so I am all about that. "What doesn't kill you makes you interesting at parties" - I am obsessed with this little glam black and gold dish for the bar cart, complete with a greek key trim.
For some very chic decor: I always love to have a skull, this gold skull is a total winner. A gold starburst on a stand is a pretty popular accent, mostly because of the height. Not many items provide some great vertical styling like that one. I personally always love to stack a chic book or two to add a little variety. Try Sage Living, Vintage Cocktails, and this Dior book for a great mix.
I love a good gold and black lamp pretty much anywhere. Did you see my post on black and gold sconces? They really are pretty amazing. Anyway, this vintage lamp would make a chic statement on any bar cart look. With that beautiful gold and a splash of vintage silver it makes magic. I find a ton of vintage black and gold lamps online. Here are a few different ones you could get:
