Ever since I was a little girl I have kind of been a closet Francophile. My fathers family grew up in Paris for many years before coming to the states. My grandmother would cook us French dishes and her style in her home was totally Parisian inspired. My uncles would teach us to appreciate the French language and show us the beauty in Parisian architecture and furniture. I've always been obsessed with it.
Naturally, my style and taste has evolved with the changing Parisian style. I love the modern designs I've seen in the recent years. One decorator in particular has been my absolutely favorite. Jean Louis Deniot. For me, the guy can do no wrong. Now, thanks to Baker Furniture, I can actually get a piece of this design master's style. I recently received his new catalog and I almost had a heart attack. JLD partnered with photographer Tony Duran and created a visual description of the collection for Baker furniture and I am just beyond in love with it. This was just a magical team combination.
What struck me at first was the wall color. The deep grey and dusty pink provided such a chic backdrop for the photos, in Farrow & Ball colors of course.
The lines, the art, the details, the textures and the lighting just scream modern Parisian. I think I want everything.
Captivating, no? Here are some of my favorite images from his portfolio just to give you an example of his style. . .
His book, Jean Louis Deniot Interiors, looks absolutely incredible. I am ordering it now!
