Most of you know, I am all about living your best life and making each day better. Last week, one of my coaching clients called me in a panic and said to me "Ashlina, all of these great opportunities are coming my way, but none of them are the ones that I really want. What am I doing wrong?" After a bit of conversation we realized, she needed to GET CLEAR ON HER VISION. She knew she wanted a successful business, but she never really visualized "how" she wanted to get there. Learn more about my coaching services here.
I've taken a ton of personal development/business development courses and the secret for everyone it seems, including me, is making vision boards! Writing your dreams + visions down works too. I am a more visual person, so whatever works for you best but I think Visualizing is key! I had a chalkboard that I was writing my visions and reminders on but after my conversation with my client I decided to take it up a level and make a huge vision board for my bedroom.
Tips for a successful vision board:
Know what you are after. Think about what your dream life/business/home/relationship would look like and stick to images that represent you living your best life. Seek out to find beautiful images to represent what that looks like for you.
Be specific. If you want a book deal, say what type of book, who would publish it, how long it would be, how much you would make from it, etc.
Connect with your images. Only select images that make you smile and represent what makes you come alive. I say dream bigger and more beautiful than you think you deserve or want. You will be looking at this board every day, create something that makes you truly shine! and make it stylish!
*empty vintage frame. I found mine at a local thrift store for $45, so hit up your local Goodwill
*geometric cork board panels- I think this pattern is pretty cool
*gold scissors - love the antique shape of these
*gold map tacks - i used these for extra glamour
