Whenever I get an e-design client, one of the first things I ask is what would your ideal home style be? What is your favorite home decor store? I swear most people mention Zgallerie. They want that modern glamorous look but without having to buy everything at Zgallerie. Completely understandable. So, how can you achieve that look? Let me break it down for you. . .
Metallics. That store has more metallics than any other store I know. Metallic accents are always a must for any modern glamorous space. It's also a way to get that "mirrored" look without having everything be mirrored. You don't want to overkill with too much mirrored furniture, metallic accessories can do that for you...
Candles. Soft lighting. You always want to set the scene when it comes to having a space that feels luxurious and glam.
Damask + geometrics. You don't want to over populate with pattern when it comes to a modern glamorous look. There are a few patterns that you will see at Zgallerie, damask, stripes, clean geometrics and loads of texture. Texture wins over pattern.
Dramatic lighting. You will always see a stunning chandelier, glam sconces and probably more crystals than not. The lighting is the jewelry of the home after all.
Clutter free zones. Most modern glamorous rooms have adequate storage with zero "stuff". It gives the room a clean and luxurious feeling. Be sure to throw all the clutter out and store whatever you can behind closed doors. IKEA always has great storage units that are lacquer with clean lines.
Modern art. You will want your art to tell a story about you but also be pretty simple and serene. Large abstract pieces will work perfectly over a cluttered art wall.
Pile on the pillows. In sumptuous spaces, pillows reign supreme. Layer up on your textured pillows.
Here are a few favorites for that modern glam appeal:
one: kiara over sized mirror two: chevron mirrored chest three: greek key pillows four: beautiful grey tufted sofa five: mirrored coffee table six: oyster grey leather and brass accent chairs seven: grey chandelier eight: set of 2 round gold trays nine: prism photo frame ten: Oliver Gal Marfa art
