Color is always the best way to add joy and happiness to any home. Colors that light you up and make you happy are all you need to make your home a place of refuge and domestic bliss. I'm always inspired by designers who use bold color because it means the client isn't afraid to live full out. Most people play it safe with neutrals and that's okay because if you love neutrals then thats what your home needs. If we took a look inside your closet and there is a lot of color, then your home needs that same amount of color too. I know it seems like a huge commitment to buy a blue sofa for example, a total risk. But sometimes its good to be a little risky, take a leap, step out of your comfort zone and be bold and brave when it comes to decorating your home. Your home will always reflect that you took a risk and nurture you to take more! If you are a total play-it-safer and can't do it, try by starting out with a bunch of bold color pillows and accessories. That will get you started. Here are 4 killer color combinations that you should try right now...
FOR ENERGY& FUN: Try cobalt + chartreuse. I have been wanting a blue velvet sofa for so long, and now I am dying for this blue tufted one. This gorgeous cobalt blue x-stool is fantastic and if you pair it with a blue sofa, try one with some chartreuse. As always, a zebra rug gives style to any room & looks great with this combo. Gold also looks fantastic with this combo, so why not pair these gold foo dogs in order to get the Nick Olsen style vibe.

FOR PLAYFUL SOPHISTICATION: When you go for brown and pink, I love to see a modern + sophisticated vibe. Try a pair of these gorgeously modern and sleek gold + brown velvet chairs. I absolutely love the brown in this rug, it will give off an eclectic and cool vibe. Partner it next to a pink moroccan pouf. I really like the soft vibe of this pink and brown abstract watercolor. It would contrast the masculinity in the brown. If you don't want to get too crazy with the pink, try this lacquer box with gorgeous crystal on top. You can also incorporate brown through natural elements like this wood bowl.

FOR DARING ON THE EDGE: I absolutely love black and copper. Allow a smooth black cowhide rug set the stage + backdrop. These copper chairs are too cool, put a black lamb hair pillow on and glam bam! I stopped by West Elm the other day and fell in love with these adorable copper desk lamps. This black and copper side table could NOT be cooler. How could would copper martini glasses look sitting on top? I also love matte black with copper and this hammered vase would be such a cool piece to throw in the mix.
FOR CLASSIC ELEGANCE: Black and white with yellow is one of the oldest and most elegant color combos of all time. I love it. It's very chic and artistic. Start out with some chic artwork. I love this black and yellow piece , this swirly print and this black and white abstract. Layer art as much as possible. Nothing more chic than a black and white tray. I put trays everywhere, so you could mix in this black and white striped tray too. The thing about yellow is that its great to add pops of yellow in accents, like this cool garden stool. Layer yellow pillows like this one + this one. Don't be afraid to go on the wild side with a zebra and gold x-bench.
