I've just made it back from my time in Miami and after all of the hotel and apartment scouting I did, I am in serious need for a bedroom overhaul. I just want an entirely new space. For some reason, I want more modern in my life and much more green outside of my window.

So, I called on my sweet friend, the Astrofashionista to give me some color inspiration based on my zodiac sign. She decided to write a blog post for all of you Decoristas out there, in case you were wanting to know your go-to style and colors too.

Here are her decorating for your sign tips. . .

Spring is here in the northern hemisphere and so is the opportunity to spruce up your personal space! The first day of spring is the start of a new astrological year with the sun moving into the first sign of the zodiac, Aries. To those of you living south of the equator, happy Libra season and first day of fall!

No matter where you are in the world, now’s the perfect time for you to improve your personal space. And we’re going to tell you how to do so based on your zodiac sign!

ARIES: March 21- April 19 | Symbol – The Ram | Element – Fire | Planetary Ruler – Mars | Color(s) – Red You’re the first fire sign of the zodiac, ruled by action planet Mars. Most of you have a fiery nature so a boring space does not a happy Aries make! Try adding a bold pop of color to your space to keep you visually energized and stimulated. Since you’re always on the go, functional pieces that serve dual purpose will make your life easier.

TAURUS: April 20- May 20 | Symbol – The Bull | Element – Earth | Planetary Ruler – Venus | Color(s) – Green Classic and sophisticated, bulls want and need a comfortable and beautiful space to feel at peace. The color red may work for Aries but we all know what happens when you waive red in front of a bull! We suggest that you stick with a calming and relaxing color scheme.

GEMINI: May 21- June 20 | Symbol – The Twins | Element – Air | Planetary Ruler – Mercury | Color(s) – Bright Colors Change is apart of Gemini’s nature and that includes your tastes. You could be into one thing one day and over it the next. Because of this it’s important that you have a space that allows for design flexibility. Choose a neutral pallet that allows you to switch between different colors and patterns year round. You also love to communicate so make sure your common living areas are chitchat friendly.

CANCER: June 21- July 22 | Symbol – The Crab | Element – Water | Planetary Ruler – The Moon | Color(s) – White, Silver Your sign rules the home and there’s no place more important to you. If you have a choice of hitting the town or staying home in your jammies to watch a good movie, 9 times out of 10 you’re going with the second option.
