I love coming up with good color palettes. I especially love to create mood boards based on my most recent adventures. After my trip to the Amalfi Coast, I have completely reassessed my color interests. To my complete surprise Farrow & Ball saw my Italian vacay photos on instagram and asked me to come up with some fun color + wallpaper combinations based on my photos from my trip to Italy. I happily obliged.
INSPIRED BY WALKING & SHOPPING:
What I loved so much about Italy was the softer hues of blues and greens. Faded colors are the essence of Farrow + Ball, which is why it paints a picture so perfect for an Italian inspired palette. I love purbeck stone for a neutral and dimpse also creates a soft neutral vibe. Lulworth blue brings out the best in the sky and the water, Dead Salmon brings in the rusted color prevalent throughout the coastline homes. Patterned tiles and ceramics were everywhere, so I chose wallpaper like Lotus + Ranelagh. The perfect complement to a lot of pattern is either solids or stripes, Tented Stripe pulls out the best in the Italian patterns.
INSPIRED BY WATER:
By the water is where I get the most inspiration. Whether it be by the poolside or the coast line, I am in heaven. ( Poolside: St. Giles Blue, Blue Ground, Pavillion Blue & St. Antoine wallpaper ) ( Seaside: Olive, Oval room blue, Dead salmon & Wisteria wallpaper )
