The more the merrier is a phrase I use quite often. I use it when it comes to family, friends and even decorating. I especially use this phrase when it comes to mirrors. I love mirrors. If there is an empty wall in a house, I would throw a mirror up in a heartbeat. The reason I am all about mirrors is because they are a secret key to energy. Mirrors reflect whatever light comes in times two, so if you are in a smaller space or a darker space, mirrors work wonders. They add light, movement and energy to a room. In certain Feng Shui philosophies mirrors are referred to as the aspirin of Feng Shui, can totally cure most things. (In my book I'm writing right now, Decor Therapy, I talk a LOT about this) Mirrors bring a sort of flowy, water element to a home therefore adding calm and refreshment. There are a few caveats to this, don't place one to where it faces your bed, it can disturb your sleep. Also, try not to place them facing each other directly, that can be weird vibes. For the most part, if you are feeling any area of your home is dull or needs some life and good energy..just add a mirror. As many of you know, I'm a gold girl so I am all about the gold mirror. Gold is also said to symbolize wealth and enhance luck & prosperity in the home, so why not add a little bit of that energy in your home too. I have a huge gold mirror sitting on my desk in my home office. Hello lady luck!?!
Here are my top 10 picks from around the internet.
I love the look of several styled together. I would do this with sunburst mirrors. It's a total Spanish vibe.
How would you style yours?
