Every so often, when you find an artist that actually inspires you to design around their art, it's like the greatest find of all. Art can be such a difficult thing to place in a home. However, there are some artists that are THAT good, you don't even need to sell the art. If you know the work of Hunt Slonem, then you will most likely feel the same way. He's most known for his work with bunnies that you've seen around the design glossies. Try buying his art on 1st dibs and you will see just what I mean. Now, his new book has come out "When art meets design" and I am beyond ecstatic to get my copy in hopes to tear out some pages and frame them for art perhaps a little more in my price range. The book is gorgeous and right on time with his new collaboration with Kravet Groundworks, a fine wallpaper and fabric collection so he can infiltrate your home.
These fabrics and wallpapers are sure to sell out. With rich and vivid colors, this collection brings something fun and unique to design. I love the idea of art and design coming together in such a different way. It's very Spring fashion, no?
