I was talking with a coaching client of mine the other day about the current buzz in the real estate market. She's a popular real estate agent in town and growing her business like crazy. She benefits by informing her clients of the best ways to affordably upgrade the home before you sell it. Of course paint is the most popular one that almost everyone uses, but we came up with a ton of ways that she could encourage her clients to upgrade their homes prior to putting them on the market. With the market being so solid right now, she was letting me know what works and what really doesn't.
My personal favorite for pretty much anything in the home is whatever I can do with my phone. You can even change lighting color in your home with your phone these days. It's pretty amazing and people are absolutely loving it. In an effort to help my dad's home have a bit more of a contemporary and modern feel, I got him the new Schlage Sense front door deadbolt. Not only does it give the door a modern feel. . .
This is the door before and after.
Looks so much better, no? It just feels so high tech. Now, everyone in the family has their own entry code. No key needed. We went with the Schlage Sense Deadbolt in matte black because I think matte is so in right now. I also am dying for the matte black kitchen appliances, but thats another story.
You still can have a key but you can have up to like 30 codes for your guests. Also, there is a super cool app you download on your phone and you literally can say "Siri, open my door" and the door will automatically unlock or lock. How incredibly luxurious is that? For only a couple hundred dollars, you are living luxe.
