There is something about antiques that I just can't get enough of. My fathers family spent most of there formative years in Europe, so growing up I saw my family's love for the art, food, lifestyle and was just enchanted. We were a different family, not your typical American family bar-b-q type of family. We grew up having the most delicious crepes for breakfast and learning the set the table for an elegant dinner even at breakfast time. We always had the finest china to eat on and as kids we would be brought to museums and book stores and be taught about art history and culture. The women in the family would take all of us to antique stores and we would be there for hours curating new collections for the home. I've always been mesmerized. Naturally, I fell in love with the Antique shops & Designers magazine (based out of Houston, Tx).
I fell in love with this particular issue. The colors in the room and the style, there's a mix of that old world French, a pop of Scandinavian antique and hints of modern. It's so inspiring.
It's all just so beautiful. Read the mag for all the details.
