After a weekend visit in Dallas, I've come away with a new project and a whole LOT of ideas swirling around in my head for what to do. YES, I will now be designing in Dallas and I could not be more excited about it. I love the city and its so fun to look forward to. I've got some fun ideas to brew which always leads to a heavy amount of Pinteresting...my weakness. I came across a designer in Sydney {quite possibly my favorite city in the world} by the name of Gillian Khaw. I adore her work, it's totally inspiring me right now. Something about her laid back yet still sophisticated style that resonates with my current mood. How fab is that screen of Martinique wallpaper? A fresh way to use that gorgeous paper, without committing your walls to it.
Then we get a beachier vibe which is totally Sydney style. I love all of this wood and leather used in a very minimalistic way. I also like her bold art choices. Colorful abstracts and moody oversize portrait painting.
I also love the use of black walls. It's not too drastic, this room still looks cozy and elegant. I'm very into her vibe here...
It's all very laid black glamour and I'm loving it. Now I just need to figure out how I can incorporate some Sydney style into my new projects. Stay tuned.
