Today, I am speechless. I've been leaning towards more masculine decor lately, mostly because my clients are more masculine in style and I am loving every bit of it. I get to be girlie and glam in my own home, but in theirs I get to play in a dream world wonderland. Today I found an interior that I just swoon for. John Jacob, interiors guy, is my new design crush & If I could build my dream guy home, it would look a little something like this...
No need to paint white walls, just create a high gloss black molding and throw some wallpaper in it for seriously good impact. All of the black in the space isn't overpowering, its offset by emerald green and bits of red. Oh, how very glamorously manly.
Even in the dining room, the emerald green ties in to the whole scheme. I recently was given some bamboo chairs for my dining room and I'm dreaming of how to cover them...perhaps an emerald green?
This corner of the room is where the light comes from and it looks so modern and beautiful. I love that the dark side of the room offsets it. To me, this is genius, not overpowering with dark, but not being afraid to use it either. Which leads to the next areas of the home in red and black and white thin stripes. With pops of green in the artwork. I just can't get over how rich and gorgeous this look is. Midcentury modern meets modern Parisian style.
I've got to step up my game. ha. Well done John Jacob.
