Happy Monday everyone. Things have been very very busy around here in Austin, Tx. In the middle of a design project I am madly in love with working on. However, I love the city in May, so I can't wait to get back up there and to talk design & hustle with some very fabulous peeps. Hope to see you all in NYC on the 15th! There will be lots of fun stuff going on that day. I can't wait!
2. The new kitchen. My Austin apartment is leased and now ready for me to decorate. I can hardly wait to get my things in and placed just right so as to make it my own. The one area that needs no help? The kitchen. Its so pretty, I just love her. How fab does the chic cream bag look there?
3. I created a little art for the new space because there is lots of bare wall. This piece I like to call 'arrondissements'. It reminds me of a map of Paris in some way, its actually upside down in this photo. It's my perfect look in black and white. I found this frame & piece at a local thrift shop and then I whited it out and gave it my swag touches. Its the statement piece of the living room.
4. I want a headboard like this for the bedroom. {cred song of style}
5. Bella notte bedding is everything. If you haven't tried it yet, go feel it. You will thank me later.
6. I'm also obsessed with this room by Alex Papachristidis. The black dresser with gold embellishments is gooooood.
7. Another one of my favorite Austin spots I went to this week. Whislers. The decor is so on point. I especially love the chairs at the bar with the laced up seat covers. So very chic.
8. Received a bouquet of lovely roses this week and I fell madly in love with the colors. Deep pink and bright orange/coral. An ombre look. So beautiful and perfect for Springtime.
9. Went to game 7 yesterday in San Antonio. In case any of you don't know, I love basketball and I love the Spurs. I'm so pumped for the finals this year, I would like SA to take it all the way. As I was looking around the arena yesterday it was so chic. All black, white and gray. So chic, no wonder I love that team.
10. This week I had the pleasure of meeting some amazing creatives here in town. While in deep conversation, I realized that the best advice I have ever gotten was to be true to your own ideas and dreams. To walk boldly into what you feel is right for you. To not let the comments, opinions, predetermined thoughts of others affect the path that you take. That will ultimately lead you exactly where you are meant to be. As I look back on the last several years of my life and business I realized that nothing could have been more accurate. The more I walked in the way I believed was right, the more beautiful people with similar spirits came into my life. Great advice, no?
