So, I just wanted to share a little part of my navy room project with you. A while back I sort of became obsessed with Ebay hunting. The winter is just too cold to be out and about hunting for fun treasures, so I've learned to turn to the net. Tons of new online shopping outlets have been coming up, yet I still find some great deals on ebay. I scored a pair of vintage brass and crackle glass lamps for a super steal ($70 for the pair), similar to these. As I shop, I'm always keeping score of the things I love, you can see my collections here. Anyway, I knew these would be perfect for the navy guest bedroom I'm working on...
They are just stunning in person, large, heavy...all they need is the perfect lampshade to make them just right. I thought about finding something black with a gold interior, something really edgy. Then I remembered this isn't "my" room, it's for my grandmother. She loves blue, so to go with the new navy wall color [more on that later], I found the gorgeous rich teal lampshades in a linen with a rope trim. Home Goods is always bringing the chic, I am loving what they buyers are doing. I couldn't believe I found them, rope is a trend I have been seeing so much of lately and I've been obsessed with it. I also love how rich and sophisticated these shades are and they just go perfectly with the curtains, too. Think granny-chic bohemian tradtional vibe. [Sorry, the pictures aren't perfect, I'm working on my iphone right now.]
