NYC city girl style...Carol Prisant

This is the apartment of writer and American editor of World of Interiors, Carol Prisant.
It's so interesting to see where writers live, such creativity and emotion in their decor. It is always a nice juxtaposition when  a writer, who writes about decor and interiors, decorates. I usually love the outcome because it is a mixture of both worlds, such a fun a different treat.

Her wallpaper is by Brunshwig + Fils, so fun, and it's her favorite. It works well with her collection of vintage floral art portraits and many antiques. I love the mint wall color in the bathroom, not something you see everyday. Ruffles, lace and beads are all over her bedroom and the funky lucite furniture adds a dash of modern to her romantic pad. With her collection of busts and cute monkey side tables, I will go out on a limb and say I think she seems like a super fun gal, no?

NY Times Room Makeover...indian sanctuary by Vicente Wolf

Check out this spare room makeover of Harrice Miller, a fab costume jeweler in Manhattan.
Now she has the perfect place to entertain her rockstar clients.
Mastermind Vicente Wolf tricked it out with a $5,000 budget. Complete with hot pink walls, a purple ceiling, gold accents and uber luxurious fabrics. I think its adorable, especially for the kind of clients she entertains.

NYC city girl style...Olatz Schnabel for House Beatiful

Thank goodness for Paloma who scanned this fabulous spread, the second I saw it I fell hard.
I am absolutely obsessing over this glamorous bedroom right now. Hello my favorite colors purple + ever so dreamy light blue! The palm tree artwork is just bananas and that headboard...literally rocks my world. I just adore everything!
and how fabulous and chic does Olatz look? Perfection!

i've got NY on my mind...

Today all I can think about is NYC and I have fallen in love with this adorable Hamptons hideaway.
Check out this adorable apartment with brightly colored walls, fantastic art and great furniture.
This kitchen is so fabulous, I would love to entertain an outdoor dinner party here.
Lillian Bakhash's home is featured in NY Times house + garden section...there are more pictures of the modern and playful pad, enjoy!

a House Beautiful as ever! {manhattan apartment love}

Have you guys seen the lastest issue of House Beautiful?
I cannot get over the cover + the gorgeous NYC apartment that graces it.
Lots of color (as i'm sure you can guess) is my favorite, I literally get some serious pleasure looking at homes with extremely bold color palates. It warms my soul and feeds my eyes to see such goodness.
This gorgeous pink wallpaper is amazing! Chinoiserie, hello, i love you!
Oh, and of course all of the purple in this space....sigh.

apartment therapy: a perfect NY apartment + Rita Konig NY english

I am absolutely smitten with this adorable NYC Hamilton Heights Bungalow.
Decorated by Nicole and only a teeny 650 sqft.
I love the gorgeous gray walls and extremely cozy vibe.
It's very Domino mag, no?

and speaking of domino mag,
Rita Konig (one of my personal idols) lives here...

and I am BEYOND in love with the place!

living in NYC...life of an actress

I seriously fantasize about what it would be like to live in new york.
I visit often and I try to pretend that I am a local,
but that doesn't work...i still have that "traveling high".

The Selby is one of my favorite websites for that.
Sneak peaks into the homes and offices of manhattans best.
After doing my NYC research, I found this crazy apartment.
Ingrid Sophie Schram is the owner of this teeny space in NYC.

I would die to have a brunch on a patio like this NY patio...wouldn't you?

dreaming of new york city

I'm already envisioning the things that I am going to do this coming weekend.
The second I arrive I will be on the streets heading to my favorite places.
Being that I am a "gallerina" in LA...I am definitely going to want to hit up some
galleries in the big city...
Morrisson Hotel being # 1.
Here is what I am envisioning...
