You guys must be super into spring cleaning right now because my E-decorating projects have been piling up by the day. Today we are working on a fabulous dynamic duo of sisters and their eclectic glam little living room space. Having so much fun working on these...I'm thinking of just selling these as a package for all of you glam gals out there!
Crushing on Kelly Wearstler for Lee Jofa wallpaper...
This weekend I was putting the finishing touches on my bedroom, to be revealed soon, not to worry! So moving on in the apartment, I am seriously in need of some new wallpaper for my hallway. My hallway is teeny, so it needs that much more of a pop. I wanted something fab + neutral, so Lee Jofa sent over some suggestions and I went crazy over these gold and white beauties. I want them all.
10 things that rocked my world this week...April 7
1.With the weather warming up things are getting pretty vibrant in the city. My new YSL blush pink lipstick is just rocking my world...as is my cute little leopard peplum top....
2. Thanks to Martha, for this beautiful print for my office space. She reminds me of a little spanish senorita...I absolutely love her.
3. I have been to the framers more than I would like to admit this week and I am sort of obsessed with it. I love these vibrant color frames and the new lines that have come out are insane.
4. Speaking of art. I went to the affordable art fair this week. It was really good this year. There was a lot of really interesting things like this cool pink and gold spiky thing. Not really sure what it is but I fell head over heels for it.
5. I also decided that I want something like this for my dining room. Too bad the people who owned this store would not sell theirs. I was absolutely smitten with it.
6. I gave my little breakfast nook bench a makeover. Before her legs were a bare natural wood and I felt that it dulled down her tuftings and shape. I knew she needed to pop a little more so I gave her a little high gloss white and it did the trick. Now she is fierce.
7. Almost as fierce as this fabulous brass fox I found while shooting some doors of new york.
8. I don't think I will ever get over the tiled flooring in the NYC vestibules. I loved this bold yellow, black and white greek key look I spotted. So good.
9. Outdoor seating has come back into my life. Yaaaaay. This spot, UVA, might just be one of my new favorite places to sit outside. So adorable.
10. You all know how much I love to share tidbits of inspiration or wisdom. I'm always reading new things and this page really just stuck with me this week. Totally rocked my world.
office space of the day...modernly white
Okay, I seriously have not been blown away by an office space in a while but this one is just out of hand incredible. Black and white at its most modern + sophisticated. One day my business will be run out of something like this...
high gloss white walls + furry black chairs + mirrored bottom desk + big chandelier + fancy fabulous artwork =

bliss in the kitch'...Vintage Vixen
Every once and a while I come across a photographed home that really inspires me. It's not particularly well designed but its well lived in. The decor, however, is so well done and really gives that collected look which I happen to adore and completely admire. Not many people can pull this look off well but this woman, Laura Gonzalez, did it and did it well. This little kitchen just makes me want to spend time learning new recipes, cutting flowers, have tea...so cute.
How adorable is this little dog? I mean seriously, he makes the room. Oh and the bookcase styling is beyond comparison, I love the way the butterflies keep it consistent and put together. I really enjoy mirrored coffee tables and this large block one is so good.
I think its always wise to use baskets in open shelving to keep things looking organized. It looks so great especially next to the floral wallpaper. Such a femme fab space.
A GOLD PIECE...
I've always loved the look above the bed like this...beautiful!
INSPIRED: How to style a bookcase {5 IDEAS}
1. Art always works for making a bookcase chic but I adore the idea of a lei and album covers, so cool.
2. One of my best friends has a home in LA with so much book storage but not enough books to fill it. So, I am very fond of similar colors and styles of pottery. Very sophisticated.
3. Items that are eclectic and look like you picked them up on your latest wanderlust adventure, these work so well. Here, elephants, turtle shells, maps and the like make a super chic ensemble.
4. I really love how this collection of bowls, vases, serving dishes and saucers in blue and white make a great artsy yet whimsical look. I think having your entertaining items on display is so effortless chic.
5. Or why not put regular old storage. I love the way these old granny yellow plates are stored and displayed as well as orange boxes. This is a great way to add some serious color that dominates the bookcase and makes it look pulled together.

I can't believe its April already and time to introduce my favorite things for the month. This month I am overjoyed to support the fab gals over at Lulu & Georgia. This is such an incredible source for those exotic accessories that you are looking for but can't find anywhere. 10 things that rocked my world this week...march 30
1. Spring. The weather this week makes me incredibly happy. There was a little bit of cold/rain but the sunshine has come out these last few days and I am loving every bit of it. Especially the way the morning sunlight comes right in my apartment. Agh. Happiness!
2. Thanks to Tshirtprinting.org whom surprised me with a fab tee with my logo on it. So fun and the shirt is soooooo comfy. I might have to order a few more.
3. Have been on an art mission this week. Found these amazing impressionistic pieces by a young girl here in NYC. So vibrant and colorful we had to snag one.
4. Obsessed with my vintage purple glass cake tray. Perfect for macaroons and coffee with the girls.
5. Rachel Ashwell, you know the gal behind Shabby Chic. She threw the most awesome little dinner party. How cute is the tabletop?
6. Room Service finally has taken over NYC. I used to shop the LA/OC locations all the time. I am beyond happy that they now are in my lovely city. Hollywood glam at its finest.
7. YES. Gold gun drawer pulls. Could you get any better?
8. This is the wood paneling I was talking about yesterday. It was so so so gorgeous!
9. Another view of my chairs. I just adore them. This week I lent one out to a photo shoot and I missed her while she was gone. I love good high wingback chairs. They truly are the best.
10. The best advice I have ever gotten.
THE GOOD WOOD. Kelly Wearstler in Seal Beach
Just the other day I was shopping around Flatiron area and I happened to stumble across this amazing store that sells custom wood paneling. Now, I grew up in Austin, Texas, the mother land of wood paneling, therefore I like to steer clear of wood paneling as I think its too much. Lately though, I have been seeing some paneling in homes that really is chic and I'm into it. Things always come full circle I guess.
Naturally, when this Kelly Wearstler Seal Beach spot came into my life (the pages of Rhapsody) I took it almost as confirmation. Perhaps wood paneling isn't so bad. Especially with incredible flooring to match. I love the way this little bar cart area is styled. I'm loving the splatter paint looking dishware. So very Ms. Wearstler.
These calming bedrooms are the perfect place to relax. I am so beyond ready for summer!

How to: Make a Inspiration Board
This spring season has me in a flurry of cleaning out clutter and making room for new things. I love a good spring cleaning. I'm sort of doing this in all aspects of my life, not just at home.
When I want to move toward a new vision for myself I love to make a new vision/inspiration board. It's like a visual inspiration of style, looks and colors that you’d like to try/buy in 2013. Not only will it help you develop your domestic signature style but it may save you money by inspiring you to reinterpret things you already own.
Here’s how…
Buy a Blank Canvas.
Make sure you opt for something you love so that it can be displayed in your home work space and still look stylish. You can make a super chic board by backing an un-glassed vintage picture frame with cork board from the hardware store.
Define Your Mood.
Get really clear about what vibe you are going for so as to not have a board thats all over the place. Go for something like Bohemian Glamour or Sophisticated Modern. Then as you edit your photos, you will be able to decide what belongs on the board and what doesn't.
Cut it out.
Go through those images you have been saving on your desktop forever or tear through your favorite magazines. This will clean the clutter you have been saving and allow you to toss out the things that you don't need anymore. This is key for organization in springtime!
Get Excited.
They say that if you put it on a vision board, it will come. So really go all out for what you want. Want that gorgeous J. Adler sofa we all dream of? Tear it out and put it up. There is power in vision!
Don't Limit Yourself.

Spring Decorating: Coffee table candy
I am seriously still obsessed with my mirrored coffee tables. One of my favorite things to do at home is change my coffee table decor around each season. Right now I am thinking It's about that time to refresh the coffee table with some spring time accents.
Books-
I love your style by Amanda Brooks. Such a fab book with amazing tips and great photos.
Hue by Kelly Wearstler. I love the blue color of this issue.
Time and Place by Steven Gambrel. He is an interiors genius so this book will have you wanting to redecorate asap.
office space of the day...the mean green
Speaking of this dark mossy green I'm vibing with lately...how fab is this Kelly Wearstler look?
I'm kind of in love. A modern twist on art deco glamour.

Tablescape Tuesday: pink and green
There's a new color combination that killing me softly right now...
and its this gorgeous deep green and milky light pink with hints of gold. It's so beautiful I can hardly contain my excitement. It caused me to literally hit up my local antique spots for some colored glass. I need to recreate this look for an upcoming spring brunch I'm having at the apartment.images via beauandarrowevents
HOT PINK CHAIRS
With all of this rain and gross weather in NYC I am craving some bright, vivid color. While putting together some images for a new client, I came across these absolutely incredible hot pink chairs. This very minute I think I decided that I need these in my dining nook...
I love the way hot pink looks against these dark walls in this lovely SF apartment.
Bold color really has me going lately.
Stanley Furniture meets Woodson & Rummerfield at High Point Market
I am literally counting down the days till High Point Market. I always look forward to my time with my favorite designers in the industry. It's a blast. Not only is it a blast, you get to see the latest and greatest in the design world. I've posted about last years market here.
This year my former bosses (woodson & rummerfield house of design) + extended fam have partnered with Stanley Furniture to revamp their showrooms. This collaboration is kind of major. Here are a few shots of the showroom they revamped for Las Vegas Market, which blew everyone away...
I just loved this eclectic art wall.
They really turned out the showroom to a whole other level. Now, I keep watching the facebook + twitter for snaps of the inspiration for the new High Point Showroom and I am already in love.
Emeralds. Gold. Black and white. Its looking good!
Who is coming to High Point Market? I'll be giving a tour that you can sign up for, let me know and I'll get you details!
10 things that rocked my world this week...march 24
1. This week my bedroom became a pretty shade of purple, the color is called "soulmate", I just had to have it. As much as I loved it white and felt that white and gold what was I wanted, I needed to get a little more moody in my bedroom. Now, when I walk into my bedroom, its like a dark little cocoon. It's cozy, comfortable and dreamy. I'm extremely happy about this new movement.
2. Bloglovin'. I'm sure most of you have heard about the change of Google Reader. No longer will we be able to read our favorite blogs via that feed. I usually read mine via Bloglovin'. We had breakfast at Cafeteria in the private back room decorated with light blue Campbell's soup cans. It was so chic. If you aren't on Bloglovin' yet, join here!
3. My mirrored coffee tables finally arrived. Thanks to Wayfair for providing me the best help. I was searching everywhere for the perfect size of a pair of mirrored tables. My living room is narrow and small and I still wanted some glam tables so these were absolutely perfect.
4. Oh yes. I love this little golden lion. When I grow up and get my dream house, I am so having big lions out front to guard the home. I love them.
5. I got to custom create myself a little tray for my entryway. Isn't she cute? I'm digging on Birdaria and their chic little collection of fun colored accessories for the home. This pegasus tray makes me think of some fabulous wallpaper I really need, no? Love the pattern. Oh, and monogrammed AK, I love it all day!
6. Jesus. We all know how I adore him. When I was styling a little set this week, he was a prop. I was all about him in all white. Fab.
7. My two favorite reads this week. The new issue of Domino, highlighted Nick Olsens NY apartment again, which I have always adored. Also, French Accents by Erin Swift. This book is incredible. It highlights how to add chic French objects to the home with style. I found it really gave me a new perspective and tons of new decorating ideas.
8. Architectural Digest Home Show was here this week and last night was the Diffa dine by design event. One of my cousins from Spain, who also happens to be an architect, was in town. So we checked it out and loved it. Lots of new fabulous things out on the market, we were blown away. Oh, and yeah, we celebrated with a bottle of Dom. I mean, why not.
9. This table was our most favorite. Black and white stripes on the table, clear crystals, striped plates, beautifully colored blooms. It was so chic. Loved it.
10. On a more emotional note. I got a lot of emails this week talking about my work and what I do. A lot of you asked me questions about starting your own design business or where to start in the creative world, how to get your break, etc. I was so moved by these emails that I really feel like its time for me to start a conversation on the blog, a new series, where we get really into detail in the business of being in business for yourself (especially if you have a creative passion). I'll answer questions, get advice from other successful creatives in our field. If you have questions, leave them in the comments below or feel free to email me. Today, I give you this quote, my first tip and also sums up what I believe. Stay tuned.
WALLPAPER IDEAS
I'm getting excited as I watch my apartment really come together, I am beyond anxious to show you guys how cute it is. My sconces from Zgallerie are really rocking my wall area. We all know how much I love the high gloss marshmellow white in my living room walls. It looks so fab with my white sofa and leopard pillows but I feel that the wall is just calling for a fun pattern. Now that the idea got into my head, I am obsessed. I am on the hunt for a perfect wallpaper in a fabulous pattern to put behind my sofa.
I could go a few different ways. One of them is that I could let out the inner artist in me and get out some black paint and a paint brush and just get a little cray. I have always loved this wall with brushed circles or the fan leaf effect. Both would look great with gold sconces.
I always liked the way my homie Naomi added an accent wall of a modern birdy wallpaper. So fab.
This striped look is always going to be a classic. I love stripes but something has me wanting to do something a little bit more different and fresh. I love me some stripes though, they always look chic.
I also have always love the way a molding framed wallpaper looks. Very decorated and put together. I would love to do something like this. The metallic damask wallpaper look has always captured my interests. This is going to be a tough decision but I'm dying to get something up fast.

BAR CART ART
I am in the process of finalizing the decor for my bar cart area. My bar cart is lucite and I totally love it. I have a few sets of vintage glasses that I can't wait to display, a gorgeous trey and a few other pieces I love but more importantly I am looking for some bar cart art inspiration. I need a good vibe to happen in this area. Not sure if I want something graphic or more traditional...
Lately, I have been drawn to animalistic types of things, especially art.
What do you guys think???
